The call to insane Love will cause the majority to run for cover because that is easier than the journey that Perfect Love calls for. Yes Perfect Love drives out All fear but many times driving that fear out calls for self examination into pain and that is very uncomfortable.
“On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?” Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you? Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.” – John 6:60-63
The religious will always have a problem with Jesus because He calls for a change of comfort. Jesus call for growing in Faith through the struggles of life, knowing that each one was allowed to happen by The God Who Is Love and that in the growth of Faith, Righteousness grows. Religion wants you to believe the righteousness grows by your dedication to a church and your ability to follow the rules they provide.
To show what happens when hard core religious comfort zone meets Jesus just look a few versus down from those above:
“From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.” – John 6:66-67
Many left and many will never accept “the Life” that “The Spirit” Freely offers All who will take the journey of Grace. What about you? Are you sure you have His Grace and not “cultural grace” or “denominational grace” – would you like to seriously look into this journey?
