Why do nations crumple?

What causes countries or people to fall from greatness?

What did Jesus do wrong?

Please read John 11:45-48

Vs. 45 “Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him. But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin. “What are we accomplishing?” they asked. “Here is this man performing many signs. If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.”

Great nations and civilizations come and go like yesterday’s news. It’s easy to see it in history and it continues to happen as we read the newspaper today. But why and what spiritual lesson is there in this?

I am not going to debate the right and wrong of a nation but I will say from what I have seen great civilizations come and go onto the stage of history based on the priorities they have and pursue. Some cultures that are very aggressive and anti-love only last a short time. Others last until they get to the point that they lose sight of love but both groups come to ruin in the perfect timing of God.

Can this same be said about a person?

Let’s look at some killer priorities:

1)    Need for more- Greed takes many forms but it eventually causes nations and people to crash because the energy is on self not Love!

2)   Looks- This is one of the biggest killers and it could come in the form of legalism or the form of building an outside arrogance but both result in non-Loving.

3)   Pride- Pride as a nation that blinds that nation or person from seeing the needs of others will destroy all in its path. Pride puts the emphasis on accomplishment of the past not Loving others.

4)   Forgetting the source of All Good Things- Love! When we Love and care for others for the right reason we turn on the power of God like never before.

What’s the solution set?

Change and teach the change- In Biblical terms repent and get back to the source of All Love and All good.

Does this mean that the culture or person that does this will stay on the stage?

NO! But it does mean that the person or nation will understand that when they do leave the stage of importance it will be God’s perfect timing and they are at Peace with Love.

Don’t Worry- Be Grace-Full!

You are no longer under the law – relax, live and Love!
