Who makes the best Lover?
Who Loves more?
How to be a lover not a fighter!
Please read Luke 7:47-50
Vs. 47 “Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.” Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
Has it ever occurred to you that while law causes judgment and a hierarchy of self righteousness that Grace causes a continual recognition of who you are apart from Christ?
Think about this for a moment if my effort has anything to do with my holiness the need for Christ is less in my life. This is why “Grace” as opposed to law was brought about by the new covenant.
Have you been forgiven much? (vs.47)
Only those who are under grace have truly been forgiven much because grace through the blood of Christ forgives ALL sins. Those under law are still trying to follow a rule book for part of their salvation- it’s called being “lukewarm.”
Your faith saves you with grace NOT your effort NOT the amount of money you give to some building full of people who judge others. What saved the woman in this story was simple- HER FAITH!
She realized and understood who Jesus was and who she was and what she needed.
Living or trying to live righteous under the law will NEVER allow you to see this whole picture because you will be righteous NOT as HE (Jesus) was righteous but instead you will be righteous as you are righteous and that is a dangerous way to be holy.
Want to be more like God? Would you like to be Christ-like? Then be forgiven much and realize this truth:
GOD is LOVE so to be more like GOD be forgiven much so that you can LOVE much!
