Are you complete in Him Alone?

All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked.” – Luke 4:22

People have always devalued Jesus! They did it in His day and they still do it today.

In His day it was easy as they saw Him grow up, go through puberty just like all the others and have the typical struggles that a child has becoming a man.

Today the mind and heart of the religious says, “I must do more” and the religious and super sinner according to our culture sing in one accord, “No way could a Love be that complete I must earn it!

The central burning question that Jesus once put to the disciples was this, “Who do you say I am?

Why?

Because until you know the Being Who IS – until you get What He accomplished – until you see what He Alone finished – you will never see the adequacy and the completeness that He made possible!

This is satan’s biggest trick – to convince you that He isn’t enough! Look all the way back to the Garden of Eden and what was the trick – a relationship walking hand and hand with The Creator wasn’t enough – you can be a god!

To get Grace you have to see your condition, His Love and His Finished work on the cross!

Just prior to the verse above Jesus was in the temple in His hometown reading a famous passage on why He was sent:

To proclaim good news to the poor” – without Him we are All impoverished!

Proclaim Freedom to the prisoners” – without Him we are all prisoners!

Recovery of sight to the blind” – without Him we are all blind!

Set the oppressed Free” – without Him we are all oppressed by law and sin!

Proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” – Now is that year – will you live it?
