The miracles, magic and majesty of God are still around but the majority of times we have been taught not to see them because it doesn’t fit into our personal God box!

When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.” – John 15:26-27

Some synonyms for “Advocate” are “Promoter”, “Believer”, “Campaigner” and “Supporter” – this is the job of the Holy Spirit.

What does that look like?

1)    In Acts 1:3-6 the early followers of Christ were given the ability to speak in the tongues of other nationalities that were around to spread the knowledge of Jesus to “God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.”

2)   In Acts 1:16 we can see that the Holy Spirit spoke through David concerning Judas who betrayed Jesus.

3)   In Acts 1:8 the Holy Spirit is the power source for telling others about Jesus.

What’s my point?

With the exception of Grace, the Holy Spirit has been and continues to be one of the most misunderstood concepts and Beings in Christianity.

One reason I think this is the case is that we have denied in large part the mystery of God and instead we have tried to squeeze Him into a box of our own understating which is to deny the Holy Spirit of power.

How did these people speak in tongues of other nations? The Holy Spirit!

How did David talk about a guy who wouldn’t even be born until hundreds of years after his death? The Holy Spirit!

How do you or I truly share the message of Jesus? The Holy Spirit initiates the meeting with the ones who are ready and prepares us for sharing with them in a way that they can understand.

The mystery of each and every moment of my life Is the Holy Spirit Comforting me, Guiding me and Creating new opportunities for the Love of God to shine through me potentially to people I don’t even know how to communicate with.
