Who are you? – 3
There is a vast wasteland in the mirror of the soul and as a result we have created millions of ways to Not look into it and pass the time without facing the pain of the souls reflection. We as a species have trained ourselves that MORE in needed when enough is already been Freely given and is offered to All who wish to let go of the pain.
“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”” – Galatians 3:13
“Redeemed” – compensate for the faults of, to buy back, gain or regain possession of (something) in exchange for payment.
As a young boy I remember several wonderful old hymns, one of which was “Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb” which was one of my favorites. What I never understood is if I was redeemed or all my faults were compensated for by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus, why was I always told about my faults?
Yes the church does this a lot, but let’s get honest advertising is all about creating a “need” or “want.”
The church was created to be a center for encouragement to “Love one another” because All that was needed has and is now Freely given to All who will believe. So the challenge or the problem that most church people face and the reason atheism is so prevalent is one in the same – “if I will never be able to measure up” the soul contemplates, “then I will give up (atheism) or lower the bar (religious Christianity) with less laws but enough to build a comfort zone separating me from “bad” people.”
Big God of Grace says, “I have a better way and I Love you so much it’s Free” – “the curse of the law” is that you could Never hope to keep it, you will always need MORE and we will be “working” until our last moment and even then no one will know if it was “enough.”
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
The Greater I see His Gift, The Greater my Love for Him, Peace from Him, Hope in Him and Compassion for others grows.
