The lost hiding place!

How “precious” is your stone?

Is it possible that the “Stone” is more valuable than you believe?

What is the “sure foundation”?

So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic. I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb line; hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie, and water will overflow your hiding place.” – Isaiah 28:16-17

If your hiding place is in your effort- you are so out of luck now!

Remember this passage came just after the verse that talked about a legalistic relationship with God in Vs. 13:

So then, the word of the LORD to them will become: Do this, do that, a rule for this, a rule for that; a little here, a little there— so that as they go they will fall backward

This isn’t some prophet talking this is God- might want to consider listening don’t ya think?

The “hiding place” and the “refuge” here was the law, the self-effort or burning of sacrifices or in other words the rule book.

The Great News of the gospel is that the cornerstone has been laid on a wooden cross and now through Grace a person can receive the Free gift of a “light yoke” and an “easy burden” in a relationship with God that is not possible any other way.

This Way is by Faith (in what you can’t see) through Grace (God’s Free Gift) you can find a Peace that passes ALL understanding because once “in Christ” you are not under law but under Grace!

Find a time and a place where you probably won’t be disturbed or interrupted and start by taking several deep breaths. With each exhale just let go a bit more and know that this very moment you are having was planned by God just for you before the world was created. After several deep breaths get back to a normal breath and:

Breathe in and say:

Christ Alone

Breathe out and say:

Is My Rock

Practice this way for several minutes and several times. Remember it doesn’t have to be said out loud but can easily be a silent contemplative prayer. Now wait for His miracles to start!

Don’t worry- Be Grace-Full!!

Christ Alone is The Stone!
