Why is it GREAT to NOT have all the answers?
Who or what do you depend on?
Does your dependency create peace?
Please read Luke 21: 14-15
Vs. 14 “But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.”
If you never had to have the answers would that create more peace in your life?
There are only eleven words I know for sure beyond any doubt and those answer most of the questions and problems in my life- “God Is Love!” “God Radically Loves You” and “God Radically Loves Me”!
Outside of that I know very little and nothing of any importance at all really.
If I live this way does it make me a fool?
Some would say yes-LOL! But something to keep in mind with this passage- it was written to people who would be beaten, imprisoned, raped, crucified and face all kinds of other atrocities all because they believed in this crazy carpenters son who taught that Love was all that mattered.
But here is another element of foolishness dependency on self and having the answers as opposed to dependency on God! God Is Love!
Dependency on God is this, “He’s got this!” Dependency on anything else is this, “Oh crap I got to escape by _________!” Dependency on anything else is a need and craving for something outside of the peace that could be within you. This peace passes all understanding with no condemnation!
Here is a practice for you. Find a time and a place where you will probably not be disturbed and take several deep breaths. With every exhale just feel your body relax a bit more. When you feel more relaxed close your eyes and get a picture of a difficulty you face or maybe a difficult person you deal with. As you have that picture while breathing normally:
Breathe in and say:
“God’s got this”
Breathe out and say”
“And God Is Love”
Practice this way until your mountain becomes a mole hill and remember even if you don’t face the mountain today- you are building a reservoir of Peace and Love that will be within you!
Don’t worry- Be Grace-Full!!
