What do you miss by near lights?
What does effort cost you?
“What do workers gain from their toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” – Ecclesiastes 3: 9-11
There is an abundant life that has nothing to do with abundance as the human mind conceives it.
There is a burden that is not burdensome in any way that my mind perceives a burden.
The above two statements are what woke me up one night in the middle of the Iraqi desert as I thought about the life that God has for all who hunger and thirst for righteousness.
There are a million near lights that look good on the outside but inside lack beauty and only increase our burden with promises of futures IF we surrender to doing MORE!
There is a life from Him based on this moment right here and now and the beauty that is in it. This life is not based on your effort and it is not a burden. Your burden and mine was carried up a hill in Jerusalem a long time ago- we just need to accept that fact.
The path and the beauty is right here and right now with exactly where God has you. I cannot nor can you ever hope to understand that fully. All we can do is observe the beauty of this moment.
By doing this others see that we live in a moment to moment awareness of beauty and want to live in that same beautiful life.
This day I challenge you to:
See the beauty in every moment- it’s a gift from Him
See the beauty in every person- they are made in His image
See the beauty in every situation- they all came from Him
Find a time and a place where you will probably not be disturbed close your eyes and take several deep cleansing breaths. As you do begin to get a picture of God dressed as a symphony director and as He steps up and taps on the podium to begin to direct you see the music they will play- it’s called “_________ (your name) Day!” As you get this picture do this:
Breathe in and say:
Breathe out and say:
“my symphony today”
Throughout the day today take several breaks just to stop and listen- what do you hear, what do you see? Write down the beauty He shows you.
Don’t Worry- Be Graceful!!
