How do you “remain in His Love”?
Where does your joy come from?
How can you have His joy in you?
Please read John 15:10-12
Vs. 10 “If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”
Have you ever found it odd that at the perfect moments for Jesus to say something about obey all laws He always seemed to say, “Love each other”?
There was a reason that Jesus was dangerous in His day and it was simply this He taught that Love was all that mattered. He also taught that the law was created to show us our need for Him.
Just as we were “born of the flesh” once we can be “born of the Spirit” once and that means being about Love not law. If you are still trying or making an effort to be like Him then you are living in both worlds and that causes pain.
Leave the law and focus on the Love and all the pain of effort goes away. If you could have done it He would not have needed to die on the cross- but He did and now His joy and your joy depend NOT on the law but on the Love!
Here is a meditation for you. Find a time and a place where you probably won’t be disturbed but if you are see it as an opportunity to Love. Begin to take several deep breaths and with every exhale give Him more of your stress of doing and effort. As you begin to relax close your eyes and get a picture of Christ joyfully Loving others through you today. As you get this picture do this:
Breathe in and say:
“Place your Love”
Breathe out and say:
“In me today”
Practice this until you realize that Jesus is not in the law, He is in the Love!
Don’t Worry- Be Grace-Full!!
