What did Paul teach?

Why didn’t Paul teach law?

He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:14-15

Isn’t it interesting that somehow the letters from Paul survived in what we have as The Bible, The infallible Word of God!

God, All Powerful and Omni-present God of All the universe could have edited the Bible at any point in history and yet He allowed His word to say things like this above!

Paul doesn’t say “hold fast to the teachings of the law and be careful to follow and obey each and every little rule” – NO! He says “hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you” and he said this for a Very good reason. In his day just like now there were those who were “faithless” or lazy about trust and rest in Christ Alone! If you read the letter to Galatians you will see the whole letter is about a church that had been deceived and fooled into thinking they were still under the law!

The teachings Paul passed on were simple – have Faith in Christ Alone for your salvation and rest in Not being under the yoke of the law any longer!

There are still to this day those who teach and preach a mixed gospel or total gospel of law – Be very careful of this! Stand firm in the knowledge that Christ Alone IS your salvation! Stand firm in the knowledge and rest in the fact that His Grace is sufficient for you!

There are many “gospels” out there today! There are many people who claim this and that from God – my question is this,

Does what is being taught increase your Love for others, your Love and Thankfulness to God and your Freedom?

*Keep in mind that Love and True Thankfulness cannot be mandated or legislated Only gained by a sincere and deep understanding of The Gift Beyond Compare!*
