Do you have an expiration date?
Are you going to die? (Be careful that is present continuous!)
How will you be changed when you leave earth?
Please read 1 Corinthians 15:50-51
Vs. 50 “I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed”
There are things that are going to perish. If you don’t believe me take a look at a picture of you 10 or 20 years ago. There is no doubt an expiration date on almost everything. Yes I said “almost” and I said it for a very specific reason.
You have a choice when you will die and I am not talking about suicide.
If you die now you become imperishable and your life becomes about Love!
If you die later you died in a perishable state and the kingdom of God which could have been in you, you never found. Your life may have been about very good things and perhaps you helped change the world in some way but you still perished. You may have had a whole lot of money but now it belongs to someone else.
I am not talking about going to church or doing good deeds or becoming a monk. I am talking about a concept called Grace.
Vs. 8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
