What are you planting?
Is it possible that our life and the way we live plants seeds?
Is it more important to plant or to harvest?
Years ago I was in some country and I remember asking a farmer a question which sounded simple but in reality was rather complex. I looked out on this farmers field and asked him- “When will you pick the mangoes?” His reply, “When they are ready?”
“Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. 38I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.” – John 4:35-38
The man who would harvest the mangoes didnt know the exact moment when they would be ready just like I dont know the exact moment when a person will be ready. To put this in a popular Korean phrase- “I dont know, you dont know, only God knows.”
Since this is the case I come to a familiar point- “Love one another”
Which is more important to Love or convert?
I once asked a room full of Sunday school kids this and they all said convert. I simply pointed out that the idea that conversion was most important has caused people like Hitler and events like The Great Inquisition and other events in which untold millions have suffered pain and died,
My point is this sow Love! Sow Love so that it will grow and more Love will spread. Sow Love and many will find a path to Christ and forgiveness.
If you sow conversion and sow anger I believe we will see more bitterness and angry people.
Some of us will be very blessed to “reap” what we have not worked for as some have had seeds of love sown in them already. To me reaping is finding a person that has seen the Love of God in others and wants that spiritual healing. I do not know who they are or where they are in my path BUT that doesn’t matter- just LOVE! Love is why God still has me breathing and the people I love on a daily basis may be the ones that you help heal. I dont know when the mango is ready so just LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
One more thing I see here is Love is often hard work. Vs. 38- “Others have done the hard work and you have reaped the benefit of their labor.” Dont get discouraged by Love that a person doesn’t accept at first. Calloused hearts are often very difficult and remember you might be just the one that sows. Perhaps that is what makes it such “hard work.”
Sow seeds of Love today and ask God to teach you LOVE- “He will supply all your needs” and Love is a huge need! As you sow those seeds remember judgment is not our job only Love. Judgment causes seeds of anger and separation. That is why there is only one judge and I nor you are Him.
“Whatever you reap you will sow” Sow Love and change the world starting today!

Plant Love and reap an eternal harvest that will survive long after you are gone!
We must judge righteously, lest we ever fall into Satan’s snares. To judge righteously is to acknowledge the truth about a person’s condition, ideas, teachings, etc, and to make holy decisions accordingly. Plus, we are many times God’s messengers, which means we pass along his judgments to others. To ignore these truths is to fall into Satan’s New Age snare. Not judging is impossible, for even thinking is judging. We are not called to be mindless fools. We are called to be discerning and wise.
Thank you for your thoughts – satan has no power or dominion over me as I am no longer under the law.
His Grace is sufficient for me!
