Good News?

Who was “harassed and helpless”?

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” – Matthew 9:35-36

So here was Jesus going through towns and villages, teaching in synagogues and proclaiming what?

What did Jesus really heal?

Why were the people like sheep without a shepherd?

Didn’t they have the law already?

Just shut up and color, just follow the law I mean what is wrong with these people?

The Good News wasn’t- “I have come to give you super power to obey the law” was it? So why do so many still live like that?

Could it be that many people choose to be “comfortably miserable” than question what they hear? Is it possible that many people are afraid of Grace? Afraid of change?

Keep in mind that we are talking about the most legalistic, rule bound and Bible (of that day) believing society ever to walk the earth!

Is it still the same way in modern day America and many other countries where western Christian thought prevails? Could this be the reason why in Uganda killing homosexuals is now not only legal but state sponsored?

This is not rocket science but it is God’s Amazing Grace and Love and here it is- Jesus did it All and you are no longer under the law because He came- That is it that is the “Good News” and anything less or any idea that you can add to what He did makes His gift cheaper and the “Good News” only good for wrapping up dead fish or picking up dog crap!

Let this question be a meditative prayer for you today. Let this question burn in your heart and soul and be the drill bit of God for the next week. Take time each day to meditate on this and journal on this question each and every day for a month or a life time:

What is the Good News?

Don’t worry- BeGraceFull.com

What is the “Good News”? Is it Christ came now you can obey the law and ritual better? Or is it that Christ cam and Now Everything has changed with how we relate to a living God because we are No longer under the law but under a new covenant called Grace!?
