What builds you up?
What gives you an inheritance?
“Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” – Acts 20:32
Once a person is “in Christ” they are built up- NOT by the law and by striving to “do” better but by His Grace and His Grace alone.
What does that mean?
It means I am not your judge and you are not mine and HE makes the changes by “building you up” through His Grace!
Imagine this God Loves you so much that while you hated Him He still sent His only Son to die for you BUT it gets better! Once He died for you because of His Great Love for you- He Builds you up gracefully!
Are you beginning to get a picture of a Loving relationship with an Almighty God that cares so very much for you that He is willing to sacrifice that which is the most precious to Him just to be with you!
Many people have had bad earthly fathers or they have been yelled at in a building called a church or people who claim to know Christ have turned their back on them but one thing is for sure- That’s NOT Jesus!
God IS Love!! And God Loves you!!
Take a minute to take a couple of deep breaths and just relax. As you exhale notice any stress you might be carrying and just breathe in and let it go. Many people carry a lot of stress in the jaw, shoulders and face so take an extra mental note of those areas. Once you feel a bit more relaxed return to regular breathing and:
Breathe in and say:
“Lord build me up”
Breathe out and say:
“By your Grace”
Practice this way and relax with the knowledge that He “builds you up” through His Grace. Be at total peace with the idea that He is in control and His opinion is the Only one that matters.
