The reason for the lack of True Grace in America is that most Americans have no idea what a blessing is and they have become as a whole too comfortable in “material blessings” to see what a true blessing really is! This is why the message of Christ Alone and True Grace is catching on and spreading in poorer parts of the world.
“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.” – Matthew 6:1-2
When a “man of God” can’t fly coach but has to have first class or a private jet I have to ask what god he is a man of? When a church is the largest property owner in a state or city and children in that state or city are starving, I have to ask, what god they are talking about.
Jesus Christ – The One for whom Christianity is named had one set of clothes, walked almost everywhere except for riding on a donkey once as a sign for the type of Messiah He would be and He was so broke that when He died He had to be buried in a borrowed tomb! Yet here is the interesting thing about Jesus – when He say people were hungry He made sure there was enough food for all of them plus leftovers and He did that with a “0” monetary budget, just Faith!
Why is it that churches are increasing in size of land and big buildings and elaborate and ornate sanctuaries almost at the same rate as crime is increasing, child poverty is increasing and addictions are at an all-time high?
Jesus knew that greed and man’s concepts of what a blessing is was even in the hearts of His disciples that walked with Him and listened to Him daily! In addition Jesus knew that God’s timing was perfect and the people that followed Him would be severely persecuted for following Him – as long as the church was persecuted – Grace abounded! The worst thing that ever happened to the church was becoming the “state religion” years later – Why? Because that meant they would become a legitimate religion instead of a rabble class people constantly dependent on Christ Alone – which Is Grace!
Jesus also knew that a true blessing was anything that forced you out of the comfort zone to see The Grace of God like never before – this is my prayer for America! That America might become the land of God’s Grace by any means necessary – Being the Land of God’s Grace means being like Christ – and all that mattered to Him was Love!
