What makes amends for you?
Are you trying to do it on your own?
“God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.” – Romans 3:25-26
“GOD is LOVE” and that much I have seen and continue to see on a daily basis. I believe this statement and I have no problem saying that. As we read vs. 25 let me be clear I also believe that Jesus must be received in faith.
What does that mean exactly?
It means to accept that He is the only One that can make you whole. It means accepting the fact that you need something outside of yourself and that something is Jesus. This is the purpose of the law – and it does a Great job at what it does!
That being said after accepting Him, He will lead you not me and not someone yelling at you about how you should think and feel based on their narrow minded human opinion.
Trying and human effort only works your way to a point that is not only a pain in that part of the body that fertilizer comes out of but it is also futile. On top of this while you are “working” at it you are not focused on what is really important- LOVE!
Jesus came to create a path based on Love and paved with His blood so that you and I could see just how amazing God’s Love really is and pass that Love through us on a daily moment by moment basis. It’s the only Hope and the only Way to heal the world!
Here is a meditation for you. Find a time when you probably won’t be disturbed, take several deep breaths and with every exhale relax a little more. Now if you have the courage do this several times:
Breathe in and say:
Breathe out and say:
“Makes me whole”
Practice this until you are relaxed and just thank-Full for Him- Everything good comes from Him!
