The weeds are from The One Who Loves you beyond what is humanly possible. So why the weeds?
“Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed,and the ears of those who hear will listen. The fearful heart will know and understand,and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear.” Isaiah 32:3-4
I was never able to “grow” through the weeds very well religiously – I mean I followed all the rules, checked the boxes and “did” the things I was supposed to “do” but love and learning to “do love” was never possible – then came Grace!
Grace changes us from “doing” to BE-ing and this changes Everything!
1) Under the law – “circumstances” = punishments from God or a test from God to prove my loyalty – the byproduct of this was worry, fear, guilt and depression! Under Grace circumstances are an opportunity to breath, rest and wait on the Lord – the byproduct of this is Faith!
2) Under the law – people were good or bad based on their “doing” and I needed to stay away from the bad “for fear they will mislead me” into “doing” something bad – the byproduct of this is judgmental-ism, self righteousness and prideful haughty behavior! Under Grace people are placed in my path to learn Love, help relieve suffering and share The Journey together – the byproduct of this is Love, Peace, Hope and Patience!
