The voices, your head and the real battle!
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” – 1 Peter 5:6-10
The devil doesn’t care what you do as long as he can make you feel bad about doing it and make others feel bad about you for doing it! It’s called condemnation and he is a master at it!
On the other hand God wants you to be anxiety free and Love every moment you live and Yes He Is The Master of FREEDOM and this Life! It’s called Faith!
That being said learning to listen to the voice and identify it is Not always easy especially with our society, many churches that are guilt inducing and our feed!
If you want to break out of the devils matrix and let God restore you here are some suggestions:
1) Humble yourself before God and accept that He alone can restore you!
2) Recognize and rest in what Jesus really did on that cross by taking away All your fear, condemnation and shame! “All things are lawful but Not all things are profitable!”
3) Listen to the voices inside you and recognize the one of fear, condemnation and shame as the devil! Recognize this voice as a Very unprofitable thing to keep listening to!
4) Control as best you can your input! Many things can and will feed the voice of the devil – many churches that preach sin and condemnation instead of Faith, Hope and Love – many movies and television programs feed his voice – sometimes friends and family can feed his voice!
The bottom-line is this – the devil wants you to feel condemnation, shame, guilt and fear and in so doing convince others that these feelings and thoughts are God’s way – WHEN they are not – Thanks to the cross of Christ and the Amazing and Enduring Love of God!

The most amazing grace filled words uplifted my heart and soul gave such refreshing freedom to myself total and complete
God bless you
Ursula
Thank you sister!
You are a refreshing and encouraging blessing to my soul!
Again, something I can totally relate to.
A great source of a lot of my anxieties quite often is my confusion and frustration trying to discern between which of the voices I’m hearing is the one telling the truth and which one is lying.
Condemnation is one of the greatest things I struggle with.
Mostly self condemnation and external condemnation.
The devil certainly knows his stuff, he knows exactly what my weaknesses are and twists the knife in those wounds.
Struggling with what is truth and lies within myself and self and external condemnation is what holds me back in my journey through life in my relationship with Jesus and my journey through life with my mental illnesses.
Thank you.
Definite food for prayer.
Thank you so very much brother!
Great to hear that you got something from this Bible study and I Praise God for it!
Any voice, Any moment, Any person – that brings you condemnation is NOT from God!
Jesus did NOT come into the world to condemn the world but to save it! This is what we
must share with and tell our fellow souls blessed with the gift of mental illness –
and it is most definitely a gift! I see people everyday who were cursed to never struggle
or have any difficulty in their life at all and I think – wow will they ever fully know
the Gift! Its easy to get comfortable and have everything just the way you like it
and be completely safe in our sheltered world – but if I had been – Jesus would have been
a Sunday footnote to me by this time in my life and I wouldn’t know true Love and Freedom!
It takes a slap in the face to recognize a Peace in the heart!
Take care brother, know that I am here praying for you and I love you brother!
