Do you feel like ET?

Do you know the connection you could have?

What is the “hope held out in the gospel?”

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel.” – Colossians 1:21-23

ET it’s time to phone home! You can be “reconciled” to God today! All it takes is “faith” that in “the hope held out in the gospel.” NOTICE – Reconciled is past tense!!

Reconciled means to be “put back on friendly terms with” and if your Reconciler is your own effort your reconciliation is going to have some serious holes because things were set up so you would fail.

Not just you but each and every one of us because the more we fall the more we land at the foot of the cross and until we embrace that cross and continue in the faith- there will be pain.

Not embracing the cross means trying to reconcile ourselves with God through means other than Jesus.

Your faith is not the church you go to- that is supposed to be a group for love and encourage you to keep the faith that He paid it All and you are Holy in His sight.

The faith in the hope is simply that He really did make you Holy and because of Jesus you are now a son or daughter of God through the Amazing and Beautiful Reconciliation done on the cross.

Once again- none of this is done by your effort- He did it all!

Find a time when you can have a few moments to just sit and breath. See if you can relax and stress you might be feeling but don’t get stressed about releasing the stress- just let it happen as He allows it to happen through several deep breaths. When you feel a bit more relaxed and you are breathing regularly get a picture of a huge canyon, a canyon that is impassable and there is only one bridge. It’s a strong bridge and very sturdy and you notice that the bridge is actually a cross. The other side of the bridge, on the other side of the canyon there is a brilliant light and as you begin to walk across that bridge:

Breathe in and say:

Walk in Faith

Breathe out and say:

Jesus reconciled me

Practice this any time you start to doubt His amazing gift and any time you think His gift isn’t enough- this is how faith grows.

Don’t Worry- Be Grace-Full!!
