Are you living like a pigeon?
How does pigeon living hurt Christ?
“But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being.” – Galatians 1:15-16
When Saul became Paul or in other words Jesus was revealed to him so he might preach among the gentiles what did he do?
Did he run to the saints and say “Hi brothers I am here to preach to the ones you thing are the dirtiest people in the world”?
No! No way! And the reason he didn’t is the same reason why many shun the church and reject Grace! Many are pigeon hole-ers!
Many don’t see a child of The King – they see a black man or white man or gay man or a bum or a drug addict – Is this the Love of Christ?
When we see another human being do we see what God made or what society thinks they are? Do people stay away from us and from our church because they don’t want to be judged or evaluated?
Can you show me one group, any group that Jesus first looked at and evaluated other than the “teachers of the law” and religious legalist?
Here is a daily meditation practice that will help your journey. Find a time and a place where you probably won’t be disturbed and take a few deep breathes to relax. Once you are a bit more relaxed think of the most disgusting person you can: be it a child molester, prostitute or murderer and:
Breathe in and say:
“He (She) is a child”
Breathe out and say:
“Of God”
We were all made by the same God and you nor I were called to judge others- only Love them like He first Loved us! God is Love, God Loves you and God Loves them!
Peace and Grace be upon you from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
keep up the Good work in Christ Brother Bob!!! Now that I have your URL I’ll be stopping by to glean the Good New of God! Thank you for your work in Christ!
Fiery Serpent
Thank you brother!
I appreciate the work you do and the wonderful light that He shines through you!
Praise God for anything good that comes through us.
Great post! It would be so much easier if we could look at everyone that surround us with the same compassion Jesus has always shown us first. WE need to always question and challenge what we believe in so we can improve ourselves and move on. Thumbs up!
Thank you very much sister! Yes never fear the answers only fear the non-questioning!
God doesn’t work like we do He never has and He never will as His Love is a perfect Love!
So true, blessings!
Thank you for reading and sharing sister!
