As I heard the news about the young man who had killed several of his fellow soldiers two voices spoke to me. One voice said, “I hope he ends up dead!” The other voice said, “Dear God that shooter is in pain and needs your warm embrace.”

What did Jesus have to say about “the levelers”?

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” – Matthew 5:27-28

In Christ day as in our current time there is a thought that some sins are not as bad as others. Most Christians have the “comfort laws” and these are the laws they can comfortably follow which obviously make them “ok” with God. This is exactly what satan wants you to think!

Part of the mission of Christ is reveled in the fact that He went to extraordinary links to ensure that No one – Not even one got off! You can’t hem and haw or sugarcoat the message of Jesus when it comes to sin!

Why would the originator of the new covenant for all mankind do such a thing?

To the legalist of the ultraconservative types the above passage is evidence that they must work harder, have a more pure mind through punishing themselves by reading the book of Numbers or taking a cold shower while listening to classical music or some other ritual that will make them better!

To the GraceFull this is understood as a showing of the need for Christ which is exactly what the Bible says the law is for! The law was given so that “sins might increase” – why? Is God sadistic?

Or could it be that Jesus was saying, “STOP All self-righteousness and see your need for me! STOP thinking that you can win me over by Not being as bad as a child molester, ax murderer or cannibal!”

Stop thinking that there is anything that you can do and Rest in what He already did! The Love, Mercy and Grace of God is Much bigger than you think!
