There is this spectrum of growth in Rest that we are all on but many don’t know it. The ones that do not even recognize the spectrum are easy to see because they have the least amount of Rest and the greatest amount of hurt.
The greater we allow the Love that holds us to Be, the greater our Rest and Peace we Be. This is one reason why some elderly people seem to be or have a greater sense of peace than younger less accepting people.
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love .” … 1 John 4:18
Growing into the “no fear” zone is a life long journey for some and for others its a journey they never start. But as this whole series on “The Dive” has pointed out growing into this and journeying deeper into this idea of Perfect Love holding you in each and every moment is Not an easy journey – but it sure beats the alternative of staying stuck.
Here is a simple meditation and a suggestion – First the meditation:
Breathe in and say:
“He has brought me Here”
Breathe out and say:
“He Is with me Here”
This is wonderful for stressful moments and times when you question why you exist and why you Here and Now.
Now the suggestion:
Read and learn about meditation. I first learned it from some wonderful Buddhist friends of mine, but there are some great books out there now by people like Thich Nhat Hanh, Rob Bell, Brennan Manning, Henri Nouwen and others who talk about Mindfulness.
As always I hope this helps and Blesses you!
