One of the greatest if not the greatest life skill and more importantly spiritual skill is being able to listen to the voices in your head and your spirit that influence Everything about your life! These voices influence and change the way you see God, others and yourself which in turn radically changes your alters your level of Peace, Hope, Happiness, Faith, Love and idea of the limits of Gods Grace!
Does Christ dislike you?
The disconnected, unloving, hateful christ!
“At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” – Matthew 24:10-13
There is a false christ that I see time and again all around the world in the lives of so many people and it deeply concerns me.
This christ is one that doesn’t like the person. This christ is one that tells the person they have to perform to be liked by God. This christ is one that tells the person that God doesn’t Love them and never could no matter what they do but keep trying anyway.
This christ is not Christ! He is not the One that Loves you unconditionally! He is not the One that died for you even while you were an enemy of God! He is not the One with nail scarred hands who only wants a Love based relationship with you!
Are we living in the last days? I don’t know but I don’t care!
Will we be tortured to death by guys in black helicopters? I don’t know but I don’t care!
Will I die a painful death? I don’t know but jimmy crack corn- I DON’T CARE!
Why don’t I care? Three simple words: God Loves me!
Notice at the end of this short passage what really matters- “the love of most will grow cold”- again it gets back to that stubborn Love thing!
It is not God that has a misperception of us- it is us that have a misperception of God!
God Is Love and if we miss this and if we miss the idea that God Loves us we can never hope to Love ourselves or others?
Make this your prayer today. Write it down where you can see it take the paper with you everywhere and every time you get the chance meditate on this:
“How does the God of my understanding feel about me?”
As you practice remember these three words: “God Is Love” and ask yourself is the God I know really God?
