The Home team!

In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) and said, “Brothers and sisters, the Scripture had to be fulfilled in which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus.” – Acts 1:15-16

Why Judas?

God created an Amazing system and plan that we have no idea about but one spiritual reality that keeps coming up in my life and I see more and more in others is this –

My worst mistakes and the darkest moments in human history are also part of Gods Magnificent plan!

Judas had a very specific purpose, part of God’s plan and without him we wouldn’t have the entire fulfillment of prophecy that made Jesus our Savior! Judas listened to the wrong voice, no one is questioning that, but because he continued to listen to it, he had a horrible end and everyone remembers him as evil!

At the point that you realize you have made a mistake, you have done wrong, you have hurt a brother, caused someone to stumble – ask forgiveness and GET OVER IT!

One of the biggest problem Christians have is they don’t recognize the voices going on inside them!

This is satan battling to take you away from His Grace and place you back under law!

If we are to learn nothing else from Judas but this – Ask God for forgiveness and TRUST that He gives it Freely – then he served his purpose in life!

Did God forgive him? – Asking this question is the voice of satan trying to get you to doubt and ask questions that don’t matter – that is between him and God!

One key point to take away is this – a distracted Lover is no Lover at all! Satan knows this and as a result he seeks to get you distracted, then guilt ridden and finally convinced that God is too small for your needs of Forgiveness, Love, Mercy and Grace!
