When is it good to have silence?
What is the most difficult lesson?
Where is your hope?
“The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.” – Lamentations 3:25-26
Still in pain? Then wait silently!
Wow does that suck to hear or what?
The waiting, the anticipation is the lesson at times. That is a very difficult lesson at best for anyone who wears a watch. But that is Gods way.
Just like it is also Gods way to hold your hand when you are watching a loved one pass away.
It’s easy to accept bitterness that is usually the first voice we hear in tough times. Why not, I mean after all anger and hate and bitterness is a strong source of energy and I have seen a few old people who were still standing who were driven by bitterness.
With people who didn’t wait for His hope and accepted bitterness instead however the lights seem to already be out. They are existing in a shell even when they are doing something they enjoy.
Gods ultimate healing is our passing from this life to the next one but that can also be a catalyst for healing of those left here. If the ones left behind learn to put their hope in His timing and in His salvation.
This I know is very anti-human and perhaps anti-Judeo-Christian ethics but silence speaks more about a spiritual relationship than anything except Love and most of the time Love is quiet and still. His pain elimination happens as we quietly wait with no expectations and know that whatever the outcome is, it is His outcome that He knows is best for us.
Here is an idea. Find a time and a place when you probably won’t be disturbed and take several deep breaths. With every exhalation give Him your stress and relax a bit more, let Him carry it He likes it that way. After you feel relaxed gently close your eyes and do this:
Breathe in and say:
“Lord my hope”
Breathe out and say:
“Is you Alone!”
Practice this until you can truly accept any outcome as the one He wants for you.
Don’t worry- Be Grace-Fully silent!!

God Is Love!
Amen Bob!
ISAIAH 40:31=Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings as eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
The beginning of chapter 40, with verse 1, it begins with four words; “Be silent before me…”
This is God speaking.
In my relationship with God this is where I learned to draw faith from. To simply put all my hope in the Lord, be quiet and wait. HE ALWAYS COMES THROUGH!!!
Here’s some lyrics from a favourite song of mine, “I cry at night, needing to hear from You, but in the morning You always come through, yeah You do!”
YEAH YOU DO!!! As I wrote, GOD ALWAYS COMES THROUGH!!!
WOW! Great lyrics!
Thank you for sharing!
I find that in the silent moments, in the peace and stillness of a sleepless
night – Peace like a River comes to me and stills my soul! That is the moment
when we can see a slight glimpse of the Beauty and Majesty of God!
God is almighty
AMEN sister! The Mightier we understand Him to be the easier our life becomes and the more grateful we become!
