Who do you follow?
“What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas”; still another, “I follow Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?” – 1 Corinthians 1:12-13
What was the life of Christ about? Was He rich? Did He try to build a huge building and fill it with a whole lot of people? Did He rigidly enforce a code or force people to act just like Him?
Did He heal the sick without forcing them to join Him? Did He comfort the least likely to succeed? Did He create rest and peace for all who came near? Did He Love even to the point of sacrificing His life?
Following Christ and following a stone are two very different things. Following Christ and following a denomination are two very different things.
The law was not crucified for you, nor were the Baptist or the Catholics. You were not baptized in the name of SDA and at the end of the day there is only one abiding truth that matters a hill of beans-
If we miss this very simple never overstated truth- we miss Christ and His message! But what’s even worse is this- if we miss the truth above we will be combat ineffective on the only battle field that matters.
Love and watch people want the peace that you have, Preach and watch them run to crawl over broken glass before they will listen to you. Plant seeds of Love not seeds of dogma- dogma doesn’t create Love!
Find a time when you can take a few deep breathes and just relax. When you feel you are relaxed and more here just breathe normally and:
Breathe in and say:
Breathe out and say:
Practice this way for a while and realize only One Being was up on that cross for you and me and only one thing kept Him on that cross!
