The fear of digging into the un-peace can sometimes cost us The Peace.

What are the root causes of the un-peace I feel? This is a tough question because if we are honest it can cause us to question some “sacred” and “traditionally” held ideas.

You see un-peace has symptoms like alcoholism, drug abuse, religious addiction and abuse, sexual issues, intimacy issues, power addiction, the love of money and any of a million other signs that the spirit is at un-peace – BUT those are just symptoms – the root is what must be examined.

Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:

He appeared in the flesh,
was vindicated by the Spirit,
was seen by angels,
was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory.” … 1 Timothy 3:16

“True godliness” springs from “The Gift” – it Was Freely Given to all “Gentiles and Jews” and “the mystery” is that its All past tense (I “WAS” made wHOLeY by Christ on the cross) and yet I struggle Here and Now. Why is that?

For me the answer was a shame based person that was from my shame based dad and a religious upbringing that created more shame, condemnation and guilt. My studies and my gut tell me that most of the world has a shame base that is desperately seeking “Perfect Love” which is not only the end of “All fear” but also the beginning of all Peace, Hope and Love for self that is healthy and everlasting.

Please keep in mind that working on my shame base is a fairly recent discovery for me – However the Grace that I have been growing in for the last 30 years has brought me to this place of self examination.
