pain comes so we will grow to Rest in an unseen Love … fear come so we will grow to Rest in an unseen Love … for it is at these times of pain and fear that we have the greatest opportunity to Grow this Rest because at those times this Love cannot be seen.
The thought to keep in our mind in times of pain and fear is that the pain and fear are lower case but The Love is Always upper case because the pain and the fear don’t last in any case but The Love will Never leave us or forsake us.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” … Deuteronomy 31:6
Some things to keep in mind here:
- With religion this is hard if not impossible to truly live in practice – why? because Gods goodness and love is still placed in mans idea of goodness and love instead of His. This means under religion god keeps score and is selective.
- With religion concepts like “by His stripes we were healed” really have no meaning and thus the pain and fear are results of our actions or deeds as opposed to opportunities to grow Faith.
- Understanding this concept means that as we learn to Rest in His Goodness and Love in this situation the next situation will be less painful because of the Faith we build today but by the outside standard it could be more painful and have greater fear … and thats ok because we have grown into Faith in The Unseen Goodness and Love of God.
Below is a simple meditation I use (currently almost daily and hourly – its a Long story) – I hope it helps:
Think of a quiet stream for a moment and imagine yourself beside it – and:
Breathe in and say:
“His Love”
Breathe out and say:
“Is Always with me”
Breathe in and say:
“He is Always”
Breathe out and say:
“on by side side”
Breathe in and say:
“All things are working”
Breathe out and say:
“For my good”
I pray that each of us can find The God Who is Not religion based – The God Who Is Love beyond our wildest imagination. To help, possibly in your search I have the link below for the study that helped me begin to grasp this God – I do so hope that it helps your journey:
