Opening the least likely Gift – 4
What our hope is based on matters greatly, especially when we need hope the most.
If our hope is based on our performance we will probably hit a familiar cycle of temporary pain alleviation by any number of means. But if our Hope is grounded on a few unshakable or Faith grown ideas and strengthened by or arrived at by suffering – Then we can actually “rejoice in suffering” as we talked about in “Opening the least likely Gift – 3” – so what are those “Faith Grown ideas”?
- We were created and we are in the being that God has created us to be – I will never understand the full reason but I can and need to rest in that being.
We are Loved with a Love that we cannot possibly understand or fathom in our current form – yes even the dark places and in fact especially the dark places.
We grow by Resting (that is Faiths action verb) in the Love that “has been poured into our hearts” – this path of Resting is grown best as we suffer and wrestle with who we are and realize that Perfect Love Loves even that dark part.
With that growth and our acceptance through Perfect Loves Acceptance we develop character through our endurance of being who we are and Resting in The Perfect Love which is What and Who The Divine Is.
The Holy Spirit is “The Comforter” for those who believe in Perfect Love. And this is where most miss the purpose of The One that Jesus left behind.
The Holy Spirit convicts “the world” of sin But if you Rest in (have Faith in) Perfect Love, “you are in the world but not of the world” – How can you be convicted of a law that you are no longer under?
The law will not develop character – only fear and ego. Grace – True Grace is leaving the law for The Love beyond human comprehension because we understand that this path Is the healing path.
“and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” … Romans 5:4-5
