Is what you believe part of the new treasure or the old treasure?
Could it be that grasping the old is holding you back from the new?
“He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.” – Matthew 13:52
Who is it that mixes the old with the new?
Is the old treasure keeping you from seeing the new?
The new treasure as described by Jesus, Paul and every other writer of the New Testament is Grace. The danger of holding onto the old, the law is that it nullifies Jesus and what He did on the cross. “All things became new”- when?
Grace is not Kool-Aid that can be mixed. That is called “luke warm” part Grace and part law. Grace says- LOVE!
Yes it is just that simple and it was explained time and again in the New Testament and throughout the Bible that Jesus changed everything and changes everything for you and me.
Let go of the law and the guilt and the shame and reach out and grasp His Grace and His forgiveness.
Here’s to the new treasures!
AMEN Brother! And to the one who paid the bill in Full!
