Loving the unlovable self – 3

Choosing THE HOPE is a matter of choosing to Believe that somethings are Bigger than you or I or we can understand, fathom or ever hope to fully appreciate And that’s Ok. In “Loving the unlovable self – 2” we looked at the origins of THE HOPE that allows us to Love ourselves but in this episode of the devotional series I would like us to dive into how to Grow in That Hope.

For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” – Romans 8:24-25

A couple of quick points here “saved” is past tense and our hope is Not in what we can see. I can see legalistic obedience and religious ritual any given day of the week and tons of it on Sunday. But Hope is built on Faith in what was “Finished” on the cross and the promise that the “new covenant” is not like the old one. The old one made with Moses and the law of Moses was based on human effort because the children of Israel couldn’t see what their father saw:

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.” – Romans 4:18-19

The second point I want to make is this, Be Here and Now and “wait” – not an easy lesson I know but one that gets easier IF you see 4 All important thoughts:

1)God IS Love beyond my human ability to conceive.

2)God Loves me as I am beyond my ability to understand.

3)Christ is the end of the law for All who believe – I Am Free!

4)God Is All powerful and therefore everything Is as it should be in my life to learn from and Love through.

With these 4 in mind here is the Second law of the spiritual Heroes Happiness:

2)THE HOPE in me grows as I see Gods Love, Power and Freedom as bigger than my imagination, ability to conceive or perceive.

Living in the Awareness and letting that grow on you is the journey of Grace that is covered in depth on BeGraceFull.com on the page “Let the Journey Begin” and I do hope you will dig into it. In “Loving the unlovable self – 4” I hope to share some meditations that I pray will help you to see a little of what God Almighty sees in you.
