It is so easy for us to store up things that cause pain. Past regrets over what we think was a mistake but was really allowed to happen by The One Who Loves you beyond imagination or future worries because we forget or hear the voice of “the god of MORE” – either way we are taken away from the Here and Now knowledge of LOVES Storehouse.
“A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” – Luke 6:45
This Storehouse can easily be seen in the children of Israel as they came out of slavery and faced challenges in the desert. Constant complaints and doubt and worry – it’s no great wonder Moses was ready to give up on them repeatedly. If we examine the words of Jesus we can easily see that He had a Very different idea of what was “good” than the religious leaders of the day – then and now. Why do I say this?Because just like the time of Moses and the time of Christ and now “good” can be summed up in 3 words:
1)Faith – Resting in this moment knowing that God is in control, Jesus made me complete through His work on the cross and because I have Faith in Him the law for me is no longer over me.
2)Hope – We are the Light of the world and we can only be that as we show others the Faith based fact that the law ends where Christ begins because His Grace is Sufficient for me.
3)Love – Jesus didn’t like others to call Him “good” but He called “The Good Samaritan” Good. Samaritans did not follow the law, they were not considered Jews by the Jews – in fact they were polytheist meaning they worshiped multiple gods. So what made the Samaritan “good” even as he broke the law of association just like Jesus did?
LOVE!
Jesus wasn’t legally perfect He was made perfect by acting in Faith to give Hope through Gods unexplainable, inconceivable, Unfathomable and unconditional LOVE for each and every one of us – let us now be about our Fathers business!
