What is it that Love sees that goes unseen by so many? Is there a way to turn things around or learn to see with the eyes of Love?
These questions and a few more will be the subject of this new series of devotionals, “Loves eyes” – I hope and pray that we will make this part of the journey together and that through it we can heal ourselves and others in ways never before considered possible.
“A man with leprosy came and knelt before Him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.” – Matthew 8:2-3
“Why doesnt Jesus heal me?” “Why isn’t Jesus “willing” to change my situation?” These two questions or variations of them have probably caused more people to grow bitter or grow better than any other questions in the history of mankind!
Bitter because like a child trying to get something to work without reading the instructions or having all the right equipment to get it to work. We stomp our feet, declare something a failure and cease to see the beauty of the defect or challenge.
Better because we accept that who we are is who He created, who He Loves and we grow in that Love all the while helping others to be able to do the same.
What does Loves eyes see? Loves eyes sees the outcome from beginning to end of each second of our lives and as such Love knows not only what is best for us to have a Beautiful life but also the best way for our life to bless others which in turn creates greater Blessings for us.
Remember a smile, a touch of love, a kind word of even a gentle “good morning” is a blessing to give just as it is to receive – I pray today we all practice a little.
