Perfect Love doesn’t allow for failure because all people, places, events and moments were allowed for a reason. This doesn’t mean that we won’t fail to Be loving … it just means that we have an opportunity to learn, to laugh and to love in every moment we are alive to the work of the Divine.
- To learn – we need to ask ourselves some honest, soul searching questions in moments where we struggle to love … questions like: What caused me to react the way I did? What was I placing the importance of that interaction on? Why did that moment happen the way it did and what can I learn from it?
- To laugh – we need to be able to see the work of Divine Love in any situation and carry on a conversation with it that heals. When we see the hand of Divine Love in all things we can smile through the worst moments – certainly not at first and not always but Eventually being able to look up to the sky, smile and say “Thank You for taking away a little more of what needed to change in me, giving me a little more clarity and creating a greater peace of peace.
- To Love – the way of spiritual growth leads to greater faith, hope, peace, compassion, acceptance and goodness … this is how we know the Divine and grow The Divine Here and Now. We all suffer from not being able to love certain characteristics or people in our lives – but the real question is what does this teach us about what needs to happen within. Growing in goodness means asking honest questions about good and UN-good that happens but also understanding the why of any given situation. It’s in the “why did I react that way” that we learn to heal and strengthen the love we have, share and give ourselves as well as others.
“Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.” … 1 Corinthians 13:8
