The reason we have to “let go” of the law once we accept Christ is because the law is NOT about Faith in Christ Alone its about Faith in your effort AND Christ which is Not Faith at All!

Is letting go a hard lesson?

Can faith grow in any type of sea?

As they sailed, He fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. “Where is your faith? he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.” – Luke 8:23-27

Isn’t it amazing that in the midst of this incredible storm Jesus was fast asleep?

Not really as He had the most faith of anyone on the boat. But what is the type of faith that can see and hear and be in the midst of a storm and not fear?

Perhaps this is the kind of faith that says “its all in His hands!” But what does that mean?

Each and every moment in my life has been known by God since before time and in each and every moment there is an opportunity for learning and growing Or recycleing. To recycle means needing to revisit lessons I seem to be relearning over and over again.

You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”

Perfect Love drives out fear” and I can see that the more I open up to the lesson of the moment the less fear is in my life.

I am going to die as are you and only He knows the time and the date. The more faith I have in Him the less fear I have for a very simple reason- knowing Him is knowing Love and understanding that means I get the fact that He really does care for me.

For me the tough lessons are tough in many ways because I need to understand that there is a lesson in this moment and rest in the fact that this present moment and this situation IS the place He has me for a reason.

Letting go is the act of saying, “God what do I need to learn from this present storm.” As He tells you faith in His plan and seeing the evidence of His great Love for you is the natural fruit of the situation.

Here is a meditation for you. Find a time and a place where you will not be disturbed- but if you are realize God knew it would happen and learn from the moment. Close your eyes and take a couple of deep breaths while getting a mental picture of God holding the world in His hands. Once you have that picture do this for a couple of minutes:

Breathe in and say:

God teach me

Breathe out and say:

To Rest in You”

For the rest of the day practice listening and watching for things that will make you more loving, kind and patient.

The fruits of the Spirit develop best from the fertilizer of life.

Don’t worry- Be Grace-Full!
