Faith is killed every day by the most faithful through the least important, least likely and most peculiar forms of righteousness! In this new series on Faith take a look at how, why and The Cure for “Killing Faith” that will heal you instantly, progressively and Eternally!
“What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.” Romans 9:30-32
What does it mean to have Faith? Why was it so Very important to Christ? Why were those without it often scolded by Him? What is Faith at its essence and why is it that without it, “it is impossible” to please God?
These are a few of the questions we will be examining in depth and I want to make you a solemn promise – if you read this, ingest this and take this into your heart and soul in the deepest part of your being, it will radically change every element of your life!
Why and how will it change your life?
Because a prison cell looks good to the Faith-Full!
Because a shipwreck is a great experience to the Faith-Full!
Because beatings, being hated, being hunted and being deserted all are as enjoyable as a trip to Disneyland to the Faith-Full!
Care to see what this Crazy thing called Faith that I am writing about is and “Oh the places you will go” if you listen with the heart!
Just a word of warning – this series comes with homework if you dare – but fear not – I will be doing the homework right along with you!
HOMEWORK #1 –
Keep a Faith Log and record daily how you have Faith or what Faith means to you as you go throughout your day and God brings it to your mind. It doesn’t have to be long, just a daily remembrance of what it was on any given day that you called Faith. As we go through this series we will be examining what Faith is according to our Mutual Potter and seeking His guidance on growing the garden of Faith through the weeds of the world that we see all around us.
So start your Faith Log, meditate on the passage above and I will see you for “Killing Faith – 2 – seen for unseen!”
