Do you choose blueberries or life?

What does it mean to “choose life?”

When do you “choose life?”

Please read John 14:6

Vs. 6 “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.”

Blueberries are my favorite thing in the world! I will do just about anything for some fresh blueberries. But like anything else they might come at too high a price- here in lies choice.

In meditating for several days on this one passage I keep coming back to the order of the words. Why did Jesus say it just this way?

Everything has a reason and a purpose and everything happens just the way He allows it. Put another way it would perhaps sound like this:

Jesus is the Way to lay all your guilt and shame and junk down at the feet of The One that can handle it so that the more Truth you know and the more His Truth is in you the more Free you are to have The Life that you never could have had any other way.

Every moment we have this amazing opportunity to choose Life like it never has been and never will be again- God is in this moment right here and right now. The question is do you choose it?

So many things, thoughts, emotions and other junk can cloud Life- to include my blueberries if I am not careful but Life is right here and right now and only right here and right now!

Here is a meditation for you. Find a time and a place where you probably won’t be disturbed. Sit for a moment and just try to feel the tension that might be in your body- jaw, eyebrow, shoulders or neck seem to hold a lot. Try to just release it and breathe as you do. Just relax and try to get a picture of a time when you really felt Gods presence in your life. Try to get that picture of the time when He caused you to smile and really feel His Peace that passes all understanding. As you do:

Breathe in and say:

Jesus You alone

Breathe out and say:

Are My Life

Do this until you understand that He is the smile and the joy you have. Now choose that smile and that joy this day!

Don’t Worry- Be Grace-Full!!

This is The Life – No worries or stress or guilt or shame – His Grace is sufficient for me!
