Was Jesus from a broken home?
Was Jesus born in accordance with the law?
What almost stopped the miracle of Jesus birth?
“This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.” – Matthew 1:18-19
Jesus was born out of wedlock. As painful as that sounds its true according to every account we have which means He was born outside of what the law said was right.
How can this be?
Simple answer Love trumps law since Jesus fulfilled the law with His life, death and resurrection that He now offers freely to All who believe. Isn’t this the good news?
If not what is? How did we get off track by thinking that somehow we had something to offer God by following a shadow (Colossians 2:17)?
Many in the New Testament had the same issue as its difficult to know and understand the kind of Love He has for us. As you can see from above even Joseph thought first of the law and from what we can read had a personal struggle with the events that God brought about.
Make this the season of a miracle for you. Start the miracle this way. Take several deep breaths and with each one relax a bit more in His Loving arms. Let Him take your stress and just try to relax as best you can. Know that the seat you are in has been given to you by God and feel the support as a gift from Him. As you feel that support and His presence:
Breathe in and say:
“The miracle is”
Breathe out and say:
“His Love for me”
Practice this until your focus is not on what a person does or has done but instead your focus is His Love for you as That IS the Good News!
Don’t Worry- Be Grace-Full!!
