What is the cross made of for you?

Does His cross give you all the power you need or just some of the power you need?

But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects. The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead; but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god.” – Acts 28:5-6

I am always amazed and in fact blown away by what happened to Paul and other early Christians that caused “no ill effects” when it should have!

Could it be that much of the power of the early Christians came from their struggles because Grace develops with Faith?

Is it possible that the reason we see so many people today struggle is that the Jesus of their understanding is carrying a cross made of cardboard and therefore not enough to carry All their sins?

Is it possible that when the storms of life come and the cardboard cross gets wet that it seems to disintegrate around the people?

Could it be that a cardboard cross absorbs the blood and it doesn’t spill onto some people so they don’t feel completely clean?

Have you ever considered that the reason you still struggle with “sin” is that you are still under the law?

Paul’s strength here was simple – He had faith that God knew everything, God planned everything and no matter what Paul did or had happen to him- God was in complete control!

Paul saw his life with Christ as a journey and not a destination – this can only happen with Grace! Law is not a journey – never was and it never could be! Law is black and white accept or reject and never any room for leeway!
