How far would you go to have a Love to share that is without bounds?

The gift is free but that doesn’t mean there won’t be a treasure hunt to find it. Christ paid your whole debt but that doesn’t mean you won’t have to break through some crude to discover ALL He has for you.

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

Again the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.” – Matthew 13:44-45

Yes they found it but they had to give up everything else they had to have it. This is an out of the comfort zone kind of deal as I read it. Yes the church pew is comfortable, yes the belief system you have now is comfortable and it is easy to follow.

Does it bring you joy?

If not there is a good chance that you have “old wine skins” and you are trying to pour in “new wine.” Luke 5:37-38

Does it tell you that you have to work for the free gift?

If so you are “tearing a patch” from a new garment to “patch an old one.” Luke 5:36

For me the peace, joy and Love came after a tremendous battle. The treasure was always there but because of the belief system I was raised with I didn’t see it and it would have been impossible to find except for a total collapse. It cost me everything I was and everything my persona was built on.

Would I want to go back or trade to get that persona and life back?

LOLOL- I guess that’s the answer.

Pain is good and pain tells us where something needs to be examined and looked at. Pain for me was the thing that let me know I didn’t have the pearl yet. Pain causes growth and for me its all about the growth.

If your belief system tells you that growth will help you obey more laws is that really about Love?

If your belief system tells you that pain and growth will help you Love more and will open you to Loving people you thought you couldn’t- here in lies the treasure in the field that is worth all your cars, houses, persona and crap you would ever have in order to find.

Here is a simple meditation for you:

Find a time and a place where you won’t be disturbed but if you are God planned it that way so see the interruption as a lesson and Love through it. Take several deep breaths in and out at a nice relaxed pace, slowly close your eyes and with every breath out let your body relax and begin to focus on a picture of you opening a gift box from God and as you do a bright light of Love comes out from the box now for several minutes keeping that mental picture do this:

Breathe in and say:

“God lead me to”

Breathe out and say:

“Your treasure”

Practice this way until you have a sense that His boundless Love for you IS the one treasure you can’t live without.
