When can a person grow wise?
Is there something that will hamper wisdom and growth?
“When pride comes then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” – Proverbs 11:2
Have you ever wondered why some people seem to continue to struggle with the same sin?
Could it have anything to do with the fact they are no longer under the law but in order to find Grace they have to be humbled?
Which gives God more glory:
1) You obeying a legal code written in stone
or
2) You knowing that only He made you holy
I was brought low by the sin and by the fact that I could do nothing to change who I was and what I was BUT He gave me wisdom to see that ONLY He could repair this damaged being.
When I was under the law the ego and pride could easily arise and seperate me from true Love and from sharing that Love with others. “How could I associate with such wicked people” I used to think and in my self-righteousness I am sure that many were turned off to God. After all who wants to sign up to be a pompass ass?
The humility He provides is the start of an amazing journey. That journey begins with the realization that there is nothing good in me. The humbling is well worth it as He gets ALL the glory and honor and praise for the work that is done and continues to be done.
Not so when I was under the law and this is why Grace must be understood before a person can show Love from Above. Grace puts ALL of us on equal footing- “No one is righteous no not even one.” This allows us to be the vessel of Love that we were sent here to be as we understand there is nothing different about us and any of the other 6+ billion souls here.
Pray for wisdom today to find Grace and if you want to know a great starting point for that check out the link below:
