People didn’t follow Jesus because He promised them a great life after death – people followed Jesus because He showed them a great Life Here and Now!

Is it possible to share Heaven here?

What is the kingdom of God like?

Why did it come close when Jesus was here?

When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’” – Luke 10:8-9

If the kingdom of God came near when Jesus was close to them why is that?

I mean before He came they had the law and people were very religious. Some were extremely rigorous in what they did and zealous in how they followed the law- so why did the kingdom of God suddenly come near?

The gift of Christ and what Christ did on the cross was a sneak peak and how much the kingdom of God is about Love for you and me!

What made the message of Jesus so different and what made Him religious enemy #1 can be summed up in one very dangerous word- LOVE!

Yes I said the “L” word and it wasn’t law that caused a revolution in our relationship it was and still is “LOVE!”

That LOVE can heal and that LOVE can hold you on long dark nights in scary places- but it doesn’t force its way on you. It doesn’t go where it isn’t welcome but it’s always freely available to you and desperately needed by so very many today!

So a simple formula looks like this- Share Love=Share Heaven!

Here is a simple meditation and I challenge you to practice this way for a few days and see what happens-what do you have to lose?

Start by taking several deep breaths and with every exhale relax a bit more. Try to especially relax your jaw. The more relaxed your jaw becomes the less your thoughts will bounce around usually. When your jaw is a bit more relaxed and you are breathing regularly:

Breathe in and say:

God share Love

Breathe out and say:

Through me

Practice this way for a few days and perhaps His kingdom will begin to look different to you.

Don’t worry- Be Grace-Full!

His did - Not your doing! His Love Not your effort!
