Law – what law?
“Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.” – Romans 3:19-20
If you want to stay stuck in the knowledge of sin – follow the law! Personally I choose to be one of the ones “Not” under the law as is mentioned in the first line of this passage!
Do not get me wrong – I know I have sinned – when I was under the law there were days and times that I made the worst sinners you could think of look like altar boys!
But a funny thing happened on the way to Hell – JESUS!
“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” – Matthew 7:12
At some point a person has to make a decision and the Mercy of God I believe means it’s never too late to change that decision – the decision is this follow Jesus or follow law?
Follow Jesus or follow a religion based on rules and regulations that will steal your Joy, Peace, Grace and Life! This is why many times I pray that whatever it takes for people to see Grace – God will allow that to happen – right after I pray this I usually send a note telling that person I am here if and when they need someone to talk to.
Read my testimony if you would like to see the depths God allowed me to fall to find Grace! I was for my entire young life very religious and encouraged others to be as well! I had all kinds of notches in my Bible for people filling pews!
He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.” – Matthew 13:52
The law has a place but not post Grace! When I found Jesus I found the Author and Finisher of my Faith but I didn’t realize it at the time because that church pew can become rather comfortable – cant it?
Perhaps this is why Jesus was so Very scary to the religious order of that day and Grace is so very scary even today! Perhaps this is why Jesus spoke in parables and to the most law abiding people on the planet He said,
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.” – Matthew 13:44
You will Never find Jesus by obeying more law – you will find condemnation that gets you to Christ but Not Christ! This is why I say and write that the law was designed to make you fail, fall flat on your face and Be at the bloody, nail pierced feet of Jesus!

Thank you, you answered a question for me on condemnation. Rod
You are more than welcome – I Praise God for any decrease in condemnation as that means an increase in Jesus and His Amazing Grace!
Very well done brother. Im so happy we met Jesus before we fell into the law thing. As I stated before,
the more we love Jesus and realize what all lies within Him, the more we love Him and each other. Knowing
all that lies at the cross, who would want to willfully sin? Aand if we have occation to stumble (not living
sinful lifestyle) Jesus is our mediator. What is in our heart? Do we use His grace for excuse or do we
embrace His love and choose to love Him back, as well as our brethern? I choose love. As I know
Jesus more , the more I want to love. We sing amazing grace, do we look at how really amazing it is?
Agape, Sister Dylvia
No more law and no more condemnation!
The law is good for those under it but we are not – His Grace is sufficient!
