What are you talking about?
“As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” – Mark 5:18-19
Either Jesus wasn’t very bright and just missed a great opportunity to say “go tell people to do a better job” Or He was setting this man and countless others on a new path to God!
We all have demons, we all have problems and difficulties – Grace allows God to end them, heal them and vanquish them once and for ALL – the victory is done!
By fulfilling the law, by Being the “end of the law for All who believe” Jesus in His Perfect sacrifice made forever clean that which could never find reconciliation to God under the law – you and me!
We were hopeless, helpless and Hell bent for destruction! By law we didn’t nor could we ever have a leg to stand on – but then came Jesus and ALL that changed!
Jesus had just healed this demon possessed man who had spent his whole possessed life running through a grave yard, cutting himself and being what we would clinically call “one crazy hellion!”
The man wanted to follow Jesus and go where ever He went but Jesus told him, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” This is Grace!
I was never truly Thankful under the law and if you are honest neither were you or are you! This is why so many religious people have so much difficulty and why people outside don’t want to follow Jesus – dishonesty from those who say they follow Him!
The healing of Jesus for you and for me is right Here and Right Now! I am Thankful for being saved from the Hell of not Being in His Kingdom the moment I accept Him because I am reconciled to Him! No more law, legal entanglements or estrangements from The God Who IS Love!
If you have grasped Grace I encourage you to think not about building a kingdom Here and Now or trying to fill a church pew – If you get Grace you will want to, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.”
