Is it possible when you look back you only see the good and not the pain?

Could it be that fear of the future is lack of faith and it reveals an AWESOME opportunity to grow?

It seems easy to remember the good of a pet pain reducer and forget the pain from it. Perhaps that is exactly what was going on here for the children of Israel. Many things happened in the past and in many ways that is a comfort zone that is easy to run to but if comfort zones were Gods plan why didnt Jesus stop on the Mount of Transfiguration and NOT move toward the pain zone of the cross.

Is Gods desire for me to be in the past, in the future or in the here and now?

All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, ‘If only we had died in Egypt! Or in the wilderness! Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?”  Numbers 14:1-4

The children of Israel had just gotten the report about how great the land was that God had said would be theirs! It was a land “flowing with milk and honey” a land rich to grow crops and it had everything that God had promised them. So what was the problem?

Just a few tribes of giants that were kind of there first. Oops God forgot to tell you this land required you to have faith and there are no free rides spiritually.

REMEMBER THIS –

*Faith is a muscle and like any muscle it can get weak or strong depending on you. *

Look at what the people said here – “Wow that slavery was pretty good wasnt it? Yeah I sure miss the beatings we got and the pain I had when those stones we pushed up to build the pyramids rolled over my foot.”

NO they didnt remember the tough times only the good times of the slavery. If you remember only the taste of the pain reliever you will never have pain elimination- that comes by faith.

Did the people say? – “Dude God took out the entire Egyptian Army this is going to be cake for Him.”

NO they only saw disaster and their family being taken and made slaves again because instead of looking at the future and seeing it as an opportunity to see God move they were afraid and the fear paralyzed them just like it will do to you if you let it.

Know your enemy- its fear! Know your enemy- its doubt! Know your enemy- its not learning the lesson of NOW!!

Faith is the evidence of things NOT seen! God will move when He knows the time is right and believe me NOTHING can stop Him.

Dont worry- Be Grace-Full!!

Faith = Future
