How to spot a “false teacher” in one easy lesson!
Is it possible that “false teachers” exist in religious groups today?
Did “false teachers” on the days of the early church cause concern?
Please read 1 Timothy 1:3-9
Vs. 5 “The goal of this command is LOVE, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk. They want to be teachers of the law, but they dont know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.”
We know that the law is good IF one uses it properly. We also know that the law is not for the righteous BUT for “lawbreakers and rebels.”
What happens to a person at the moment when they accept Christ in faith?
Please look up the word “righteous” in your concordance. Yes that is right that person by faith becomes righteous NOT because of what they have done but because of Jesus.
Here again we see the truth of Grace.
“GOD IS LOVE” and NOT law to a “righteous” person.
Is the law good? Absolutely and I would never say otherwise!
Its good to those that are “lawbreakers and rebels” but if the law is still being taught in your church as having ANYTHING to do with righteousness its wrong.
What then do we need to focus on?
We need to focus on the one thing that can and will radically change the world- “GOD IS LOVE”
The easiest way for a church or organization to fall away from the purpose of God is for them to look at stupid stuff instead of LOVE!
God calls us to be Lovers not lawers! God calls us to be Lovers not judges!
The world needs LOVE now more than ever and sad to say what they are finding is a whole lot of law and legalistic crap that is being pushed off as what Jesus wants you to do.
Let me simplify this Jesus wants you to learn what He did on the cross and why He did the cross and that can only be summed up in three little words:
“GOD IS LOVE!!!!!”
