The rain is coming- ready?

The storms of life hit everyone the question is are you building on love or are you building on dung.

Love will last for eternity and what is done from Love will never die but it will send ripples through the pond of history and touch those that were not even in direct contact with the lover. Love and a life built on it will never really end as the Love that was shown and given changed not just the generation it lived in but because it changed lives it changed those who came in contact with the second and third generation of those originally touched.

Best example here is the ultimate Lover Jesus and the whole list that came directly from Him. We are “in Christ” and “under grace” living examples to the legacy of people like Paul, Peter and John.

But how do we build a foundation of Love? How do we Love in such a way as to know that future generations will be changed from the Love that flows from God through us.

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.”- Matthew 7:24-29

The rain will come, the streams will rise and the winds will blow for everyone. Is what you are a relationship or a religion? Are you putting His Love into practice or going through the motions of following a rule book that has changed even in this generation? Are you building on Love and His work in you or are you trying to be holy based on a checklist that separates you from people and God?

These are questions that only you can answer and the motives of your heart are between you and God but I would like to point out that if you build your house on religion and the rule book. Keep in mind Jesus spoke the words about building a house on a rock right after He said,

So in everything do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets

In case you missed what I was trying to get at here its this for your belief and for your life to be built on “The Rock” it needs to be based on Love and not on following the codes and laws that not only make no one holy but make ALL men stumble as they are the tutor that brings us all to Christ.

Please build your relationship with Him on Grace and Love. There are so many in this world that desperately need your Love and they need to see those who are “in Christ” not judging and wrapped up in goofy crap like politics but focused on LOVE!!
