Where is God when we hurt?
How could God be a Loving God and allow this pain I have?
Is it better to have momentary pain or prolonged pain?
I know that for a long time in my life I made an unconscious decision that prolonged pain was better. Sounds goofy I know but many people make that same decision every day.
“But thanks be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” – 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4
Yes pain comes and when we learn the lesson from it we are healed from it. Keep in mind there is a huge difference between “healed” and “cured” and that might be what God wants you to know from that pain.
Here is my point the healing is the knowledge that this pain came to you from a Loving God so that you could show Love to others. The trouble you face today is here so that you can learn and be comforted and then give that to someone else.
God is simple getting you ready with each and every pain to help you heal others. Not “cure”- “cure” indicates that all the pain will go away and the ultimate cure is death.
You will know once you have a PhD in pain because you won’t have any more pain. You will be able to see that it is here for a reason (so you can show Love to others) and you will rejoice in it as each pain will open more avenues for you to Love like He Loves.
Don’t look for the cure- Look for the lesson!!
Don’t worry- Be Grace-Full!!
