Did Christ come to bring peace?
Let me start by saying I think there are at least two different types of peace and for the sake of this post I will focus on those.
The two types of peace are:
1) World peace
2) Personal inner peace
Did Christ come to create the first one? Not very likely and if He did He failed miserably.
Did He create the second? He can but that is up to you and what you are following.
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.” – Matthew 10:34
If you follow Love and not law you will have even members of your own family in many instances turn against you. That is what I believe Jesus is trying to say here. When He comes into you remember some people are violently opposed to Love because Love is not a controlled thing. People are usually afraid of what they don’t understand- big news here but it’s true.
What God just wants me to accept Him and Love? No that can’t be the case I have to do more or be more or follow some code. This is a “Jesus+” or a “Jesus and” righteousness and it is in my opinion “anti-Christ” because it promotes ego or self and makes it so that “some form of righteousness” is on me. With that in mind let me make this very clear where I am coming from on this one:
CHRIST IS ALL YOU NEED!
To say anything else is saying Christ committed suicide. He did it all and He made it so that you and I can now have direct connection with the Father- Now that is personal inner peace! Nothing can separate you from the Love of God- ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!
Try this meditation:
At a time and in a place where you will not be disturbed or hopefully you won’t- either way its Gods will so roll with it till He tells you why. Close your eyes and take a couple of deep breaths. Get a mental picture of you and Jesus walking together in a beautiful area with arms around each other and say the following:
Breathe in and say:
“Nothing can separate me”
Breathe out and say:
“From His Love”
Be blessed and have a Grace-Full Day!
